Hello. I am Raina Rivers, formerly of What Raina Reads and I’m the newest member of the Men Suck editorial staff. All I post are book reviews here at the Men Suck website, mostly romance, because who doesn’t love a great love story?
Thank you for your interest in having me review your book. Please note that at this time I only accept ebooks in PDF format. All reviews will be honest and that means whatever it means – good or bad. Sure, I will try my best to come up with something positive to say about your book but in the end, if I just can’t post a lie about it. So please keep that in mind when submitting your request for a review. ** If I can’t give your book a glowing review, I will give you the option of me not posting your review instead. I will leave that up to you.
I prefer books in the following genres:
- Young Adult
- Romance
- Historical
- Dystopian
- Chick Lit
I do -not- accept books in the following genres:
- Religious
- Anime
- Non-Fiction
Please submit your request as well as the information listed below to click here to fill out my contact form.

Books are rated on a scale of 1 to 10, with one being the worst and ten being the best. I try and be fair in my ratings but it’s not always easy to rate a book. So much in reviewing a rating system is so personal. I may absolutely hate something in a book while others might not care about that part. In the end that’s why I opted with a rating scale of 1 to 10 instead of 1 to 5 because with a ten-point system you get a larger range and that to me allows for more accuracy.
In addition to the 1 to 10, I also rate books on a buy, borrow or skip it scale. Buy it means you’ll probably want to read it again in the future, borrow it means you might have liked the book but it’s not a book I would want to re-read in the future and skip it means it’s a book you wouldn’t even want to bother with reading the first time.
