While most people that visit our website are women, we do get men wanting to know more about us. So today’s story is for them. It’s how how you tell a woman, “I LOVE YOU” but more than just saying the words, it’s about something a man can do to make the moment special. So here are five ways to tell a woman you love them.
Buy a pretty hand mirror and give it to your wife/girlfriend as a gift. Be sure to include a card that says, “In this mirror, you will see the image of the most beautiful woman in the world.”
This one is so simple, yet surprisingly is almost never done anymore. Have flowers been delivered to your partner’s workplace? She will not only enjoy the flowers but will also receive comments and attention from her coworkers, which will add to her enjoyment.
How I love thee … is number 3! Memorize one of Shakespeare’s love sonnets and recite it to your partner when you are in a romantic setting like a botanical garden. Don’t just suddenly start reciting poetry, as this will just sound corny. While you are cuddling your partner, ask in a joking manner, “So is now a good time to recite a love poem to you?” She will probably say yes, expecting you to come up with something of the “Roses are Red…” variety. Instead, look into her eyes, smile, and recite the sonnet while you gently stroke her face. Try the sonnet below. If this is too long, just memorize the first four lines and the last two.
Shakespeare Love Sonnet 18
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.
Sometimes too hot, the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed,
And every fair from fair sometimes declines,
By chance or nature’s changing course untrimmed.
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest,
Nor shall Death brag thou wander’st in his shade
When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st.
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
Tear off the petals of a rose, you will seven petals in all for this one. Leave them in a line, each one with its own note (one word per petal). “Thank you for coming into my life.“
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so she may love this! Make an appointment for you and her to get a professional portrait. But that’s not the best part; while I’m sure she’ll love having a great picture of the two of you, the part she’ll love best is when you also make an appointment that morning at the spa for her to get her hair and makeup professionally done.
Saying I love you doesn’t have to be overly complicated. Sometimes simple is best … just say I love you. But if you want to go out of your way, I’m sure any of these five ways will make the day stand out.
