A Walk in the Woods is an adult romance novel by Kelli Roberts. It’s actually probably more of a novella than a novel. It wasn’t all that long.
Elana truly loves her husband Richard but sometimes life just gets in the way. Thankfully they have a camping trip planned with two friends and thatβs when things get interesting. Β A Walk in the Woods is romantic and intensely erotic. This isn’t your mother’s romance novel. It goes straight for the down and dirty and stays there until you are quite sure you just can’t take it anymore. You’ll never look at camping the same way again.

This is a quick read and while normally I tend to avoid reading and writing about adult only romance novels, or those in the erotic fiction genre, this one I have decided to make an exception because it actually has a good romantic story behind it. A husband and wife are going on a much needed camping trip. They like going camping with friends, I mean who doesn’t? But the couple they were going with cancelled on them because they were getting a divorce. They decided to go alone but at the last minute their neighbor’s new roommate Trevor got thrust upon them and not wanting him to feel like a third wheel Elana got a female friend named Samantha around his same age to join them.
The thing of it is, Elana didn’t tell her friend from work that her secret intention was for Trevor and Samantha to hook up. Samantha has been on a year long dating hiatus since her last breakup. The rest of the story is basically about how their camping trip goes and let’s just say it does get rather interesting, the cover of the book doesn’t lie.Β Overall I liked the story. It was a quick and breezy read. Β The characters were likable and you really wanted to see things work out for Trevor and Samantha.
