Just The Sexiest Man Alive is a contemporary romance novel by Julie James.
They say to write about what you know, which seems to be exactly what author Julie James has done. As a former lawyer, she now writes love stories about lawyers; this story is just that. The female lead is one Taylor Donovan – a strong, confident female attorney whose focus is on her career. Of course, that gets sidelined when she meets People Magazine’s Sexiest Man of the Year, the fiction version of a young George Clooney. It is her job to help this big-time actor learn a few things about the legal business for his upcoming role in a legal thriller he is shooting. He’s your expected typical Hollywood ass, and she isn’t having any of that.
Cool. Calm. Collected. Nothing fazes Taylor Donovan. In the courtroom, she never lets the opposition see her sweat. In her personal life, she never lets any man rattle her–not even her cheating ex-fiancé. So when she’s assigned to coach People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for his role in his next big legal thriller, she refuses to fall for the Hollywood heartthrob’s charms even if he is the Jason Andrews. Confident. Famous. Irresistible. Jason Andrews is used to having women fall at his feet. When Taylor Donovan gives him the cold shoulder, he’s thrown for a loop. She’s unlike any other woman he’s ever met: uninterested in the limelight, seemingly immune to his advances, and shockingly capable of saying no to him. She’s the perfect challenge. And the more she rejects him, the more he begins to realize that she may just be his perfect match.

I loved this book. It was funny, well written, and it made me smile. It was a well-rounded story that made you happy at the end. The ups and downs make up a great story, but in the end, you still got what you wanted … a great ending to a really good book. I think this would make for a great romantic comedy movie too. You can just see Sandra Bullock as Taylor Donovan.
I think this might very well be Julie James’ best book yet. I would even go as far as to say, if you’ve never read a contemporary romance novel before, this is the one I suggest you pick up and start with.
Buy it. This was a great book and one that, without a doubt, had that re-readability factor.
