Maybe Someday is a New Adult Romance romance novel by Colleen Hoover. She is a New York Times best-selling author. I know that’s supposed to matter, but it really doesn’t anymore. I mean don’t get me wrong the book isn’t bad, but it’s also not the best, not even close.

If you have an issue with stories that involve cheating then this isn’t the book for you. The story starts off with a naive college girl who’s the boyfriend of the last two years is cheating on her with her roommate.
This book has over 3,300 reviews on Amazon almost all of them are an amazing 5 stars – 85%. Normally out of 3,300+ reviews you will get a few bad but not this book. There are almost no 1 or 2-star reviews. That’s rare and that alone is the reason I picked up this book.
After moving in with a guy she doesn’t know, after she gets cheated on, she becomes the other woman.
The affair between Sydney and Ridge (while Ridge was still going out with Maggie), was repulsive. They just kept flirting and pushing the boundaries, never once considering their selfish and hurtful actions.
I’m not okay with cheating. I don’t like stories about it. I don’t care how you try and justify it, it’s just not okay with me. For that reason alone, the whole book was ruined.
While the story was well written, I just can’t get behind any story with any justification that involved cheating.
While some people may be okay with this subject matter, for me I’m going to have to pass.
