Whether they realize it or not, men are more attracted to women who have these 6 physical attributes.
1. Women who wear red
Are you the lady in red? Well if you want to attract a man’s attention you should be! Several studies over the years have determined that women wearing the color red red enhances men’s attraction to them. Ironically, women are also more attracted to men who wear red. Maybe we’re not so different after all!
2. A large waist-to-hip ratio.
For years I teased by sister about her hips and now it turns out all this time the joke is on me because men are actually more attracted to girls with them!
You’ve probably heard the term “child bearing hips” before, which is when the hips are significantly wider than the waist, creating an hourglass figure. A large waist-to-hip ratio of 7:10 instinctively gives men the notion that the woman can carry his child, according to a study by Barnaby J. Disxon.
The ideal ratio in healthy pre- menopausal women ranges between 0.67 and 0.8. In terms of the tape measure, this is produced by waists between 24in and 28in with 36in hips, and waists between 27in and 31in with 40in hips. So that means if you waist is between 24 and 28 inches you should have 36 inch hips. If you have a bigger waist, say 27 to 31 inches in size, your hips should be 40 inches. For years I’ve heard that 36-24-36 is the perfect female form. Guess it’s true. But why? This is because a low waist to hip ratio is considered a sign of fertility and good health; two factors essential for reproduction.
3. A High Pitched Voice
Your voice of all things, is considered a sexual characteristic, and can also affect your perceived attractiveness to a man. Researchers at the University College London found that men are attracted to a higher-pitched voice because it subconsciously signifies reproductive health and youth. Interestingly enough, they also found that women tended to raise their voice pitch when speaking to men they find attractive.
4. Healthy Hair
All girls want to have great hair. I mean who doesn’t, right? Well it turns out it’s also important to attracting a mate. Having long, luscious locks was found to play a big part in female attractiveness, as it symbolizes fertility.
You know what they say … you are never fully dressed without a smile! And guess what, it turns out the more you smile the more attractive you are to a man. A study at University of British Columbia found that men are more attracted to women who smiled more. On the flip side, women are less attracted to men who tend to smile and prefer guys who keep a straight face.
6. Less Makeup
Less is more when it comes to putting on your makeup – at least that is what men seem to think. Makeup enhances beauty, sure, but caking it on is not attractive to men. Research found that men preferred women who wore up to 40% less makeup than they initially put on. Put the eyeliner down, ladies. Yes, that means you!
