The Boss’s Fake Fiancee is an contemporary romance novel by Inara Scott. Is she his worst nightmare … No relationships, that’s billionaire Garth Solen’s rule—especially not with a woman like his new employee Melissa Bencher, who thinks with her heart and not her head. But all bets are off when Melissa’s attempt to make her jerk ex-boyfriend jealous by suggesting that she’s dating Garth. Now she’s trying on rings and posing for the paparazzi with her gorgeous boss. The game is clear: for one month, they play the part of an engaged couple, and then they part ways. No emotions. No entanglements. But when it comes to matters of the heart, Melissa’s never been good at following the rules.

This book was recommenced to me by a friend. Truth is, had this friend not insisted I read it, I probably wouldn’t have given it a second look. The cover looks very amateurish and after reading a string of bad indie novels as of late, I just wasn’t up for one more. Luckily I listened to my friend because I ended up with a truly sweet story.

You ever had a jerk of an ex-boyfriend that you run into at a party and sort of hint that you are great, you no longer need him because you have a fabulous new boyfriend? Well Melissa totally does that and it completely blows up in her face because the jerk of an ex calls her out on her lie. Now she can own up to it and tell him the truth or … well the OR is what this book is about. The story is well written, and the characters are relate-able and lovable. Well maybe not lovable but you really feel like you can understand them and you want to be a part of their lives.

The main male lead is probably a tad autistic, with extreme social phobias and obsessive behavior that has driven him to success in business. Despite these problems, you can’t help but want to just love the guy.

This is the first book I’ve read by author Inara Scott but it definitely wont be my last.

I'm the dedicated romance book reviewer here because who doesn't love a good love story? My reviews may not always be nice, but they are honest. Lately, I've also been reviewing some shows from Netflix and Amazon Prime, and well, who knows what else I may find to review for you.
