What is a Francesca’s Brand Ambassador and how much do they make?

Francesca’s is a fast-fashion company based out of Houston, Texas, which means they offer inexpensive clothing produced rapidly by mass-market retailers in response to the latest trends.

Francesca’s began in 1999 as a clothing boutique, but over the years, the company has grown to now include stores all across the country. Although they recently closed down over 100 stores, they still have almost 560 stores across the country.

Like other fashion brands, Francesca’s has a brand ambassador program, where social media influencers are paid a commission for promoting their products.

In addition to the money you can make as a Francesca’s brand ambassador, you also have the chance of having your photos featured on Francesca’s social media pages.

What is a Francesca’s Brand Ambassador?

Francesca’s brand ambassadors create videos and photos featuring clothing from the Francesca’s store.  If you are accepted as a Francesca’s brand ambassador, you’ll be paid a commission for promoting the company. Francesca’s Brand ambassadors post product reviews, images of themselves wearing their clothes, and unboxing videos of things they got from the store or that were sent to them as promo.

The exact amount a Francesca’s Brand Ambassador makes will vary based on just how many followers you have and what your engagement is. It could be as little as $50 or as much as $50,000. The short answer is, the more followers you have, and the higher your engagement, the more they will be willing to pay you.

In addition, you can get discount codes, so you don’t have to pay full price to buy the clothing you are going to make social media posts, or in some cases, they’ll even mail you free clothing!

If you want to become Francesca’s Brand Ambassador, the first thing you need is a social media account. I.e., Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. The more followers you have, the better, but don’t worry, you don’t need to be as famous as Kylie Jenner to make money as a social media influencer.

  • Once you have followers on social media, you’ll want to go to Indi and create your account.
  • You’ll be prompted to submit some photos or videos of you wearing clothes from Francesca’s for approval.
  • Once your video or photo is approved, it’s ready to be posted. You’ll be sent an email giving more specific details on how the product links work.

How many social media followers do you need to become a Francesca’s Brand Ambassador?

Francesca’s doesn’t specifically state how many followers you must have to be a part of their brand ambassador program, but it may be similar to programs like Shein, which requires that you have at least 5,000 followers on your social media account to be considered for their ambassador program.

That means that they don’t accept nano-influencers, but they do accept micro-influencers.

Nano influencers: Nano influencers specialize in a specific niche, with a small and engaged community that feels like they know the influencer on a personal level.

  • YouTube: fewer than 5,000 subscribers
  • Instagram: 2,500 – 10,000 followers
  • TikTok: 5,000 – 50,000 followers

Micro-influencers: Like nano influencers, micro-influencers offer their audiences knowledge of a specific niche. A good example of this would be like Aireona, who’s niche is romance book reviews. That’s her niche, and that’s all she focuses on. Her brand, while strong in her niche, will always be limited by the fact that she only does one thing, so will only have fans interested int he one thing (romance books). Still, for her niche, she has a decent following and continues to grow each day. The best way to look at it is, she would rather be a big fish in a small sea, than a small fish, in a big sea, trying to compete against big whales. It’s hard to stand out against them.

  • YouTube: 5,000 – 25,000 subscribers
  • Instagram: 10,000 – 100,000 followers
  • TikTok: 50,000 – 150,000 followers

Keep in mind they will always pay more if you have more followers. Someone who has 50,000 followers is worth more to them than someone who has 500.

But we all have to start somewhere, so don’t be afraid to reach out to them via Indi and try, even if you don’t have 5,000 followers yet. They might be willing to give you a chance and see how it works out.

Before you do, though, make sure you know your numbers. They will want to know how many followers you have and what your engagement is. If you don’t know this, look up your account at a website like Social Blade.

The only way to ensure you’ll get the money you deserve to promote products is to know what your true value is. That means knowing not only how many followers you have but also what your engagement is. The higher your engagement, the more you are worth to a company.
